What Are The Signs of Low Self Esteem – Part 2
Signs Of Low Self Esteem
It is quite a revelation that even the way an individual holds his or her head is indicative of their frame of mind. A confident person holds his head steady and usually leans a bit forward. An unconfident person on the other hand may be pretending to hear you and will slouch or in the worst case – not move at all.
In case such an individual were to look over attentive, you can be sure that he or she is in awe of you and is just trying to create a good impression.
A poised person with high self esteem, while talking, is more controlled than an unsure one. Usually the latter will either gesticulate more or defensively cross his or her arms over their chest.
This is a sure shot sign of shyness or nervousness. That individual is trying to keep his or her personal space free of any intrusion. Over aggressiveness is also a sign of uncertainty.
Apart from the arms, a person’s legs are also a guide to his state of mind. Nervousness and anxiety causes one’s legs to ‘tap’. It is very noticeable when two people are talking and one of them is tapping his foot. Unnecessary movement, fidgeting of the legs shows the low self worth in a man!
As a whole, an individual with low self-esteem would tend to lean away from you, fidget while talking to you, swing his or her legs unnecessarily and avoid all eye contact. A mixture of all these signals in a person’s body language will undoubtedly give away his lack of self-confidence.
